Every year, the climate crisis intensifies.

January 2025 was officially the warmest January ever recorded globally. At 1.75°C above pre-industrial levels, this marked 18 months in the previous 19 to exceed Paris Agreement levels.
As the planet heats up faster than we act, there’s never been a more urgent need for transparent information and informed action.

Enter Scientist Rebellion—a collective of scientists and climate activists who believe that data alone is not enough. Inspired by Extinction Rebellion, the movement fuses scientific rigour with civil disobedience, pushing for structural change when conventional channels fall short.

In our latest interview, members of Scientist Rebellion open up about the complexity of climate change, the pitfalls of oversimplified communication and the dangers of denialism. They also reveal why they’re pushing for more participatory democracy to surface solutions that are both scientifically sound and publicly supported.

Find out why scientists are leaving the lab and taking to the streets.
